Audi steps into the massive vehicles segment with the Q7 built on the MLB platform

The second generation of the Q7 has been introduced in a full-sized SUV form and this one looks well graceful but it performs an excellent job even with its larger size. It looks more similar to the Audi A8 all road than an older Q7. The Audi Q7 also uses the VW’s all-new MLB platform which will also underpin the Bentley’s SUV models. But rather than various overpowered petrol’s is pushed along by Audi’s familiar 3.0-litre V6 TDI engines, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. There are three rows of seats to make it seven-seater model. Three rows of the seats and seven-seat version of the Audi Q7 engine comes as a standard. The all-new Q7 is lighter and more agile, smoother and comfy riding versions and even fun to drive on the motorway and domestic UK roads.

What Audi targets with its Q7 SUV?

Audi has its clear ambitions and targets in the UK market and Audi is planning to beat the Range Rover and Land Rover with its true king of the road Q7 models. The true king of the road Q7 SUV has an excellent driving experience. An experienced Q7 specify the optional adaptive air suspension with a refined and comfortable ride to beat the Range Rover but it has small wheels with the larger tyres. The class leading suspension also help the models to go even smoother on the road. For the larger and massive size off-roaders, road grip is something more than important and in the case of the Audi Q7, it is one of the most capable vehicles when there are rivals like Volvo XC90 and the Range Rover Sport. The Q7 is a very capable vehicle and it also a relaxed companion.

Audi Q7 powertrain

Audi Q7 comes with only one engine and one gearbox option so there is no option to select from the Audi Q7 trims on the bases of the power or transmission. The combination in the UK market starts with a 3.0-litre TDi diesel engine which generates 268bhp and a hefty torque of 600Nm coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain is more than enough to propel the 2-ton vehicle on the road. The Audi Q7 engine takes 6.5 seconds to reach the bench sound speed of 62 miles per hour and it has an electronically controlled top speed of 150 miles per hour. The smoothness of the power delivery is just awesome and it accelerates smoothly and works a bit hard to get an excellent sprint on the road. On the performance stats when compared with the rivals, the Volvo XC90 and the Land Rover Discovery has an edge over the Audi Q7 in every gear but when it enters into the eighth gear, Audi Q7 takes the lead with massive power and refined engine acceleration. The transmission is smoother and quicker on the gear shifts than any of its rivals. Audi Q7 engines supply and fit services are available in the UK.

What technology does it offer?

When a driver scrolls up through the Audi Q7 Drive, select modes and set all the individual parameters for steering, suspension, throttle and interior styles while living in the individual mode. The most modern Q7 SUV is certainly agile and original than its all older models. A lot of thank to the Audi’s new MLB ECO chassis platform with more than 70 per cent aluminium and combined high strength steel which helps the model to cut more than 325 Kgs of weight out of the model. After the individual configurations, there are several self-selected modes to select from. The comfort mode offers the next level settings where the steering wheel stability control system and the rear wheel drive. The steering system becomes more responsive and short on the feedback. For the first time in the history of the SUVs, Audi has introduced the four-wheel steering system on the Audi Q7 and the comfort mode helps to make this system even responsive and agile.
